The Indian team will not go to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy to be held in February 2025. BCCI will ask ICC to organize India's matches in Dubai instead of Pakistan. India did not go to play in the Asia Cup series held in Pakistan last year. India's matches were then held in Sri Lanka.

PCB had sent a proposal to hold all India's matches in Lahore

The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played from February 19 to March 9 next year, in which March 10 will be the reserve day for the final. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent the draft of 15 matches of the tournament to ICC. ICC will approve this schedule only after getting consent from the boards of the 8 teams participating in the tournament.

Pakistan may face its biggest rival India in Lahore on March 1. However, BCCI has not yet given its consent for this match. A senior member of the ICC board gave this information to PTI on Wednesday.

For the first time since 1996, Pakistan will host a major ICC tournament. However, PCB hosted the entire Asia Cup in 2008 and some matches of Asia Cup were also held in Pakistan last year.

PCB chairman finalised the schedule of 15 matches

According to the report, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has sent a schedule of 15 matches to ICC for Champions Trophy 2025. In which all the matches of India have been kept in Lahore due to security reasons.

An ICC board member said, "PCB has submitted the draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy. There will be seven matches in Lahore, three in Karachi and five in Rawalpindi. The opening matches will be held in Karachi, while the two semi-finals will be held in Karachi and Rawalpindi. Apart from this, the final match will be played in Lahore. Asia Cup matches were held in Sri Lanka at the request of India

Last year also, Pakistan got the hosting of Asia Cup. Even then, when India did not go there, the tournament was held on a 'hybrid model'. India's matches were held in Sri Lanka. In the final match held in Colombo, the Indian team won the championship by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.

The team got the hosting for the first time after 1996
