IS Khorasan, a terrorist organization active in Pakistan-Afghanistan, has threatened to carry out terrorist attacks during the T20 World Cup. Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Keith Rowley said that the terrorist organization has sent video messages to many countries, including the West Indies.
The T20 World Cup will be played in West Indies and America from June 2 to June 29. All the league matches of India are to be held in America. After this, if the team qualifies for Super-8, then it will have to play these matches in West Indies.
Pro-Islamic State media have threatened violence during sports events in several countries. IS Khorasan's Afghanistan-Pakistan branch has released a video message through propaganda channel Naseer-e-Pakistan. In this, an appeal has been made to the supporters to support the attacks in these countries.
Jonny Graves, CEO of Cricket West Indies, told Cric Buzz: "We are working closely with the authorities. We will ensure that host countries and cities are under constant surveillance throughout the World Cup and we are prepared to deal with any potential threat. Stay."
In West Indies, World Cup matches will be held in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago. In America, matches will be played in Florida, New York and Texas.
According to reports, so far no information has come to light about any threat of attack during the World Cup in America.
