Bowlers will be allowed to bowl two bouncers in one over.

In IPL, bowlers will be allowed to bowl two bouncers, whereas in international cricket, the rule is to bowl only one bouncer in an over. However, BCCI has made changes for the upcoming season. Earlier this rule was implemented in domestic tournaments and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Smart review system will be implemented in IPL

Smart review system will be implemented in the upcoming season of IPL. This will provide great convenience to the umpires. After the introduction of this rule, the TV umpire and the Hawk-Eye umpire will sit in the same room. This will help the TV umpires a lot in giving decisions. With this rule the role of TV broadcast director will be abolished.

Stop clock will not be implemented

The stop clock rule will not be applicable in IPL, which ICC has recently implemented permanently in white ball cricket. Under this rule, bowlers will get 60 seconds to start the next over, for which two warnings will be given. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of five runs on the bowling team.
